Our Mission
We believe the wisdom of Christian classics shouldn't be locked away in archaic language. Our mission is to make these timeless truths accessible, inviting modern readers to experience the depth and beauty that has shaped faith for centuries.
Why We Do This
The great works of Christian faith, from John Bunyan's allegorical journeys to C.S. Lewis's profound reflections, contain wisdom that speaks to every generation. Yet for many modern readers, the language creates a barrier to these treasures.
We created Classics for Today to bridge that gap. By presenting original text alongside thoughtful modern paraphrase, we honour the beauty of the original while opening doors for new readers to enter.
This isn't about replacing the classics. It's about inviting more people to experience them, reflect on them, and let their wisdom shape a deeper, more meaningful Christian life.
Faithful Paraphrasing
Every modern paraphrase is crafted to preserve the meaning and spirit of the original.
Accessible Wisdom
We believe everyone deserves access to the riches of Christian heritage.
Community-Centered
Study guides and groups help readers grow together in understanding.
"But in reading great literature I become a thousand men and yet remain myself. Like the night sky in the Greek poem, I see with a myriad eyes, but it is still I who see. Here, as in worship, in love, in moral action, and in knowing, I transcend myself; and am never more myself than when I do."— C.S. Lewis
